Mariko

Mariko is the happiest, most vocal baby I know, plus she has the most beautiful big blue eyes ever. I'm glad that her parents, Dawn and Marris, keep letting me come over and point my camera at her.

I learned last weekend, while being a vendor at the Community Baby Shower held by Birth Choices, that I have a bit of a following for my blog. If you are a constant follower, then you might have seen photos of my friends Dawn and Marris and their very beautiful baby Mariko.
They were my first maternity photo clients and I had the privilege of doing Mariko's newborn photos as well.

Erin & Andrew's Canmore Wedding

I was pleasantly surprised back in the fall when a friend of mine from College contacted me about photographing her winter wedding in Canmore. She had found out I was doing photography through Facebook.

Erin and I got to know each other through the Student's Association of Mount Royal College, when she was the VP Academic and I was one of her volunteers. Ironically, neither of us are doing what we were studying back then.

Erin and Andrew had a wedding that was a wonderfully laidback as the two of them are. They had a small wedding party, a meaningful service and a beautiful reception.
The ceremony was at a wonderful little historical church, the Ralph Connor Memorial United Church and the reception was held at the beautiful Canmore Nordic Centre with a beautiful view of the mountains. The food was fantastic.

I could definitely feel the love between the two of them and I wish them the best in the future.


















I have to add that I had the benefit of a wonderful second shooter, Michael Niemiec. We met at a photography conference in Arizona in January and I invited him along to help capture Erin and Andrew's wedding.

Lisa - Model Shoot

I had an opportunity to work with Lisa a couple of weeks ago. She is a fantastic aspiring model who was fun to work with. She was pretty much up for anything I asked and even had a few ideas herself.
I also have to mention that she was a trooper, as it was a little cold and definitely snowy that afternoon.

I'm looking forward to working together in the future,. Here are a few images from our shoot.

Nancy & Lorne's Wedding!

I had the wonderful privilege of celebrating Valentine's Day at the wedding of my long time friend Nancy and her new husband Lorne.

Nancy and I have known each other for over 27 years and have gone through many things throughout life together. Our mothers are good friends and our families were connected before she and her family even moved to Fort McMurray.
As well, it was Nancy and Lorne's engagement pictures which I took almost exactly a year ago which started my photography business.

It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Leslie Janes and his wife Jean at the All Saints Anglican Church. I know this was special for Nancy as the Janes' were our ministers growing up and now he is a marriage commissioner.
The Maid of Honor was Alicia Guilder, a wonderful opera singer who sang while Nancy and Lorne signed their register.

I'm happy that you two have found each other and I know that you'll be happy for many years to come.





















The reception was beautifully setup by A Special Occasion at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre. It's always a great venue for weddings. The girls' hair was done by Hair Trends.
