I was pleasantly surprised back in the fall when a friend of mine from College contacted me about photographing her winter wedding in Canmore. She had found out I was doing photography through Facebook.Erin and I got to know each other through the Student's Association of Mount Royal College, when she was the VP Academic and I was one of her volunteers. Ironically, neither of us are doing what we were studying back then.
Erin and Andrew had a wedding that was a wonderfully laidback as the two of them are. They had a small wedding party, a meaningful service and a beautiful reception.
The ceremony was at a wonderful little historical church, the Ralph Connor Memorial United Church and the reception was held at the beautiful Canmore Nordic Centre with a beautiful view of the mountains. The food was fantastic.
I could definitely feel the love between the two of them and I wish them the best in the future.
I have to add that I had the benefit of a wonderful second shooter, Michael Niemiec. We met at a photography conference in Arizona in January and I invited him along to help capture Erin and Andrew's wedding.
